Preferred qualifications / experience / skills :
Perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and other related medical devices.
Adhere to standardized procedures and work instructions to ensure high-quality production output.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all parts are traceable.
Ensure traveler and quality documentation are accurate, and meeting regulatory standards.
Communicate clearly with all levels of manufacturing management, both verbally and in writing.
Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
Support all Divisional initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the achievement of individual goals and cell performance metrics set by the Manufacturing Supervisor / Manager.
Demonstrate an understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and contribute to their application in the manufacturing process.
Support internal and external customers, including assisting with tours as needed.
Position Overview : This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. The Medical Device Manufacturing Operator will perform assembly, repair, and testing operations within a manufacturing cell under close supervision. They will be expected to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy, ensuring that all relevant documentation is up to date.
Physical and Environmental Requirements :
Maintain an appropriate dress code for the production environment :
Clothing must be non-shedding and free of frayed hems or loose threads.
No tassels, fringes, glitter, or sequins allowed on clothing.
Clothing must be clean, and free from contamination (sand, mud, dirt, lint, etc.).
No loose fiber garments or fleece allowed.
All clothing must fit under lab coats / gowns; no turtlenecks or high-necked clothing above the lab coat.
Hats, scarves, or bandanas under the bouffant must comply with specific guidelines (tight fabric, clean, laundered).
Follow all safety and operational protocols diligently.
Shoes must cover the feet entirely (no sandals, clogs, slippers, or open-toed shoes).
Shoes must have a heel no higher than 2 inches, with socks or stockings required.
Shoes must not be changed within the production area.
Nail polish, acrylic nails, or similar coatings are not allowed.
Jewelry or body piercings that could pierce gloves or cannot be covered under gowning materials are prohibited.
Makeup and scented products (other than deodorant) should not be worn.
Lip balm and lotions may be used in non-production areas only.
