What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regulatory Compliance Engineer position at Rose International?
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with 14 Element Process Safety Management regulations and be audit-ready.
- Audit, Maintain, and keep current Process Safety Information (PSI).
- Audit Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for accuracy and compliance.
- Leads Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) of specified processes and keeps on schedule.
- Develop and Facilitate Management of Change (MOC) review process.
- Develop and Facilitate Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) Process.
- Develop and audit Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program with Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering Teams.
- Provides effective Leadership of PSSR action items and ensures timely closure.
- Audit contractors in covered process areas to ensure they are properly qualified.
- Audit processes for adherence to stated performance standards (e.g. NFPA, ASME, API, ANSI).
- Evaluates new or changes to chemical engineering process designs against RAGAGEP, including pipe specifications, relief valve and vent sizing basis,
- Conducts routine inspections of PSM elements to prevent deviation.
- Leads triennial Compliance Audits.
- Provides effective leadership of PSM-related audit findings, inspection issues, PSM incidents/near miss corrective actions, and ensures timely closure of these items.
- Leads PSM related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and helps set goals and objectives for Continuous Improvement of PSM.
- Prepares and manage annual budget for PSM related activities.
- Anticipates regulatory changes or industry practices and how those will impact business operations.
- Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on PSM related chemical engineering issues to LH Battery EHS & Fire Team, LH Battery Executive Leadership, LH Battery Engineering teams, and if necessary LGES Headquarters and/or
