Job Description
- Only qualified Scrum Master / Java Developer candidates located near the commutable Salt Lake City, UT area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence
Required Certifications :
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., SAFe, PSM)Scrum Master / Java Developer Required Skills :
Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach in software development teamsStrong understanding of Agile frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsMinimum of 5 years of experience in Java developmentProficiency in frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIsStrong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)Hands-on experience with testing tools like JUnit, Mockito, or TestNGOur client is seeking a dynamic Scrum Master / Senior Java Developer to join our team. This hybrid role combines the leadership and facilitation responsibilities of a Scrum Master with hands-on software development expertise. The ideal candidate will guide Agile teams in delivering high-quality software solutions while also contributing directly to the technical development process.
Scrum Master / Java Developer Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and securityWrite clean, efficient, and testable code, adhering to coding standards and best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and UI / UX, to deliver end-to-end solutionsPerform code reviews, providing constructive feedback and maintaining high code qualityOptimize application performance and troubleshoot technical issuesStay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software developmentContribute to architecture decisions and technical strategiesDevelop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing frameworksLead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesServe as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, fostering continuous improvement and team empowermentFacilitate the removal of impediments and ensure smooth workflow for the development teamTrack and manage project progress using Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a clear and prioritized product backlogPromote Agile best practices and principles across the organization.
