Packaging Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new packaging designs for our Medical Device Sterile Disposable portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze packaging designs using CAE tools (CAD, FEA, Moldflow, CFD).
- Conduct or direct testing in a R&D lab environment to verify concept packaging designs.
- Provide knowledge of packaging materials, standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
- Create various design history file documentation throughout the packaging development process including technical assessments, test protocols / reports, and various engineering documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (BS) and 2 years of proven experience in Mechanical, Packaging Engineering or related field.
- Familiarity with disposable product usage, and engineering design to influence packaging.
- Basic familiarity with medical device regulated design control process.
- Engineering experience in new product development or product engineering, production engineering knowhow about various manufacturing engineering with Design for Manufacturing solutions.
