Job Description
The Logistics Specialist will support LH Battery supply chain operations by working closely with suppliers, freight agents, and customers to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
Responsibilities
• Support the movement of goods and materials throughout the supply chain to ensure timely deliveries, address any delays, and expedite urgent shipments as needed.
• Track and report key performance metrics and assist in evaluating logistics performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Help create initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics operations through innovative solutions.
• Serve as a point of contact for tracking shipments and inventory levels, ensuring accurate operational records are maintained.
• Collaborate with suppliers, transportation providers, and customers to troubleshoot logistics-related issues.
• Assist in planning and coordinating shipping routes and schedules to optimize transportation costs and delivery times.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of logistics processes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
• Support the implementation of logistics policies for both import and domestic operations.
• Foster strong relationships with freight agents and internal teams to ensure effective communication.
• Assist in efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and address any delivery-related concerns.
• Ensure accurate data entry into ERP systems and provide support for logistics operations.
• Help with the submission of import documents and HTS verification to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct audits of invoices to confirm accuracy and compliance with pricing agreements.
• Participate in contract reviews and assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposals, as well as updating rate schedules and requesting quotes.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, and 1-3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
