What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Lab Equipment Operator position at Rose International?
The candidate should have experience performing PCB testing. Running tests using complex semi-automated test equipment that requires focus and consistency during repetitions. Input, update, and maintenance of records related to the movement of units and maintenance of fixtures. Help the engineering teams set up and qualify test stations by following directions and performing initial testing for qualification. Help the planning team organize lab spaces and keep equipment up to date.
SMT process support (printing, PnP / reflow support, programming work can be done by vendors)
Tests (drop test, thermal cycling, shear / pull strength including machine setup)
Cross-sectioning (potting, dicing, grinding, polishing)
Measurement and Analysis (X-ray, measurement by microscope)
Lab maintenance (supporting vendors, basically main part is done by vendors)
Skills :
Quick learner with the ability to follow complex instructions and procedures.
Familiarity with computers and data entry. Excel and Word proficiency. Filemaker experience is a plus.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and technical environment.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining consistently great quality output.
Good attitude and willingness to contribute to process improvement.
Ability to record results of testing according to procedures.
Lifting and moving some equipment.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering field is preferred, but applicants should be smart, honest, and have a positive work ethic.
Computer skills required. English language proficiency is required.
