Air Quality Specialist

We are looking to hire an Air Quality Specialist to add to our expanding environmental team. The candidate should have an existing background in the Oil and Gas, and/or Industrial/Chemical/Manufacturing industries, have a solid knowledge of OK, TX, KS, NM state and federal air permitting and compliance, including New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct air quality analyses, assess regulatory compliance, and perform regulatory applicability evaluations
- Project Management which includes assisting with client/business development, preparation, and management of proposal efforts, and initiating projects
- Demonstrate understanding of air emissions and emission reporting processes
- Maintain a knowledge of current and proposed Air Quality/environmental compliance regulations in current and potential service areas
- Comply with all company and client health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations
- Actively participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs
- Strong working knowledge of air quality regulations and technical skills (e.g., permitting, emissions reporting, auditing, etc.) relative to projects
- Knowledgeable on State and Federal (NSPS, NESHAP, MACT) regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of progressive environmental science experience
- Experience with Subpart W (GHG), OOOOa/b/c, emissions inventory, State Air Permitting, Title V, PSD
- Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, or Masters in Environmental Science is preferred
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance fundamentals
- Experience with air regulations compliance and compliance auditing is preferred
- Must be highly self-motivated and able to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple assignments, and meeting client strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal skills
