STUDENT AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS
POSITION : Transfer Evaluation / Transfer Credentials Specialist
Description of Duties : Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the research, computation and data input of incoming transfer transcripts via OnBase scanning system. Maintain the College’s compliance with changes to Department of Education regulations governing transfer credit. Research and determine transferability of incoming college and university transcripts based on accreditation statuses and State Regents’ policy. Operate Hyland OnBase transcript scanning software daily, scanning and grouping transcripts. Index, analyze and verify incoming transfer coursework and grade data. Certify course equivalencies using Unity Forms. Use critical thinking and problem solving to develop complex transcript scanning templates using regular expressions in the software. Verify the coursework and grade output from the transcript scanning software to PeopleSoft and post the transfer credit to the student’s official records and transcript. Resolves minor disagreements about transfer credit awards. Refers major disagreements. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Has no supervisory responsibilities. Receive limited supervision from the Assistant Registrar / Assistant Director, Admissions and Records and / or the Registrar. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications : Associates Degree. Two years’ experience in a Registrar’s Office or Student Personnel Office. Microsoft Products Suite to include Access or Excel. Proofreading skills. Light lifting and light carrying required. Long periods of time spent sitting and processing transcripts via a scanner or Data entry.
Desired Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree. Familiarity with Hyland OnBase software and Peoplesoft SIS database.
