Floor Technician / Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician/Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring surfaces in commercial settings. This role requires expertise in environmental services, custodial tasks, and floor care techniques to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all facility users.

This position will require you to work most weekends giving you your days off during the week.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Execute buffing and polishing procedures to enhance the shine and longevity of hard surface floors.
• Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and maintain cleanliness.
• Inspect flooring surfaces regularly to identify areas needing repair or additional cleaning.
• Utilize proper cleaning chemicals and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure all areas are maintained according to company standards.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
• Empty Trash on weekends.

Requirements

• Proven experience in environmental services or custodial work, particularly in commercial cleaning settings.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing, carpet cleaning, and general maintenance practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to operate various types of cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
