What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortuary Transport position at Rosebrough Mortuary Services?
We are a mortuary transport company looking for mortuary transport technicians to join our team.
Job duties:
- Perform removal of the decedent from hospital, nursing home, residence, coroner's office, and donor facilities and transport to funeral homes, prep rooms, coroner's offices, airports, and donor facilities
- Thoroughly complete pertinent paperwork and ID tags.
- Respectfully and professionally interact with grieving families, healthcare staff, mortuary employees, law enforcement, and coworkers.
- Maintains and ensures removal vehicle is clean inside and out, and is properly maintained.
- Maintains adequate supply of PPE in removal vehicle.
- Act in a professional, responsible manner.
- Must be able to follow directions, policies, and procedures with little supervision.
Requirements:
- Valid California drivers license with 3 years of driving experience and a clean MVR.
- We will run a background check and drug screen upon hire.
- Professional business attire
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Cell phone (we reimburse $30.00/month for your cell phone).
Physical requirements include the ability to:
- Sit for extended periods of time
- Drive in traffic and in all weather conditions
- Lift, push, and pull objects or equipment
- Move up and down stairs easily
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling.
