Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas for patient procedures.
- Take and record medical histories, vital signs, and other necessary patient information.
- Manage medical records accurately, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, applying sealants, and assisting with fillings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming atmosphere for young patients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred. We do welcome new dental assistants who can grow along with our fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.
- Experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is an advantage.
