Purpose
The Senior Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the strategic direction and management of the organization's information technology (IT) department. This role ensures the alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives while driving innovation and efficiency across the organization. The Senior Director of Information Technology is responsible for the development and implementation of IT policies, systems, and infrastructure to support the organization’s long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of long-term IT strategies, policies, and procedures
- Ensure consistency in IT policies, standards, and practices across all departments
- Assess and plan for the organization's future system requirements and hardware needs to support business goals
- Offer technical expertise on critical projects
- Keep the company informed about the latest trends in the IT industry
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Mentor and develop IT team members, promoting professional growth and development
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within several IT teams / departments
- Advise Executive leadership on technology options and solutions to meet business needs
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers and negotiate contracts as needed for IT services and products
- Consistently monitor and analyze IT performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
