Position Purpose
Provide a safe comfortable environment for children from birth to four years in an ethical, legal and moral manner consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Under the direction of the Assistant Administrator, the Daycare Supervisor is responsible for the management and daily operations of the daycare. Implement and coordinate the organization and delivery of safe, quality day care services as required by licensing and accreditation standards. Continuously evaluate and refine day care program to better serve the needs of children served.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in early childhood education, child development or elementary education preferred.
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- 21 years of age.
- Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) or one year diploma in child development from a community college or technical school.
- Achieved Iowa Department of Human Services required 100 points per 441 IAC 109.6(1).
- National Administrator Credential (NAC) preferred.
- One-year related work experience (required).
- One year of demonstrated supervisory experience (preferred).
- Obtain/maintain Adult/Child/Infant CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Obtain/maintain Adult/Child/Infant First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
- Obtain/Maintain Mandatory Reporter training/certification within six months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Implement and coordinate the organization and delivery of safe, quality day care services as required by licensing and accreditation standards/.
- Continuously evaluate and refine day care program to better serve the needs of children served.
- Assure appropriate care is rendered to children, report changes in health and/or behavior to parents, program nurses, and counselors.
- Maintain positive relationships and provide emotional support for both children and parents.
- Review and maintain policies and procedures as required by licensing and accreditation standards such as Iowa Department of Health and Human Services and the Joint Commission.
- Maintain a score of four or higher rating in the Iowa Quality for Kids standards.
- Maintain awareness of financial resources of the daycare center and coordinate as necessary.
- Develop objective quality standards for areas of responsibility and manage productivity.
- Create clear performance expectations and deliver timely and constructive feedback to direct service staff in a supportive and vision-enhancing manner.
- Assist with hiring staff and provide opportunities for their professional development.
- Maintain current, accurate and confidential files.
- Understand and comply with all the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
- Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
- Attend program meetings, participate in professional development conferences and workshops as required by licensure.
- Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
