Living Room Program. The Recovery Specialist must be eligible to pursue the Certified Recovery Support Specialist credential (CRSS) based on their behavioral health lived experience.
The Recovery Specialist will do the following: Provide recovery-oriented, person centered, and trauma informed services; Serve as an advocate; Provide information and support for individuals in emergency, outpatient and walk-in settings; Participate as a team member in the delivery of treatment services to clients and their families and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations; Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts (1st shift)
Pay: Based on education, experience, and credentials

- Shift: Fri 2p-6p, Sat/Sun 8a-4:30p 20 hours/week
- High school diploma, GED or higher education
- Advocate for individuals using professionalism and non-adversarial approach
- Willingness, ability and commitment to serve as a role model for recovery
- Valid Illinois driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Minimum (RSA)
- Advocate for individuals using professionalism and non-adversarial approach
- Willingness, ability and commitment to serve as a role model for behavioral health recovery
- Provide appropriate behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals with mental health disorders.
- Have a thorough understanding of community resources and Rosecrance full array of services.
- Attend trainings toward CRSS credential
- Participate in statewide events/summits/trainings/activities that support the education and development of consumer provider services.
- Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, team meetings or appropriate committee meetings as designated.
- Serve as a member of the assigned team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
- Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional code of conduct and within the framework of the law.
- Facilitate transportation of clients to Rosecrance buildings or hospitals as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
- Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
Pay: Based on education, experience, and credentials
- Starting pay - $18.43/hr
- Second shift (majority of hours between 3pm and 11pm): $.25/hr
- Third shift (majority of hours between 11pm and 7am): $.50/hr
