Position Purpose: The Building Systems Technician supports the maintenance and repair of building operational systems, including HVAC, Fire Alarms, Card Access, and Security Alarm systems. Responsibilities include programming, troubleshooting, and repairing these systems, both independently and in collaboration with external vendors. As a key member of the Facilities team, this role works closely with other stakeholders to ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation requirements, local and state building codes, and company standards.

Pay:
Starting Pay:$23.90 per hour based on education and experience
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications from a trade school or relevant technical training preferred
- Experience with or capacity to train on the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building systems
- Proficient in basic math and computer applications
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of local and state building codes, safety standards, and regulations is a plus
- Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
2. Provide 24-hour on-call support for emergency situations.
3. Understand and troubleshoot building operational systems.
4. Operate, program, and diagnose issues, taking corrective action as needed.
5. Perform repairs, follow preventive maintenance and inspection schedules to HVAC and other assigned building systems.
6. Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can enhance operations and reduce maintenance costs.
7. Maintain regular reporting to leadership, including updates on personnel, projects, and tasks.
8. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional code of ethics and the framework of Rosecrance policies and the law,
9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including TJC, NFPA, EPA, OSHA, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
10. Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
11. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
