Position Purpose:
Participate as a team member in the delivery of substance-use disorder services to clients and their families. Facilitate the issues of recovery into client’s daily living situations. Provide program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
Job Requirements:
- Masters in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field required,
- LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT preferred,
- Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC),or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC which supersedes the CADC within 2 years of employment in substance used disorder services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills,
- Computer proficiency required,
- Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record,
- Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames
- Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling,
- Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources,
- Self-starter with ability to work independently,
- Ability to work within a team,
- Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
- Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame.
- Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs.
- Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
- Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
- Ensure that documentation in client service record is maintained consistent with expectations defined by SUPR, TJC and Medicaid regulations.
- Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, case management and discharge plans).
- Assume on-call responsibilities per schedule or when designated.
- Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups.
- Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.
- Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
- Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
- Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance
Schedule: 8-hour or 10-hours shifts (candidate's choice)
- Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm or Monday - Thursday 9:00am-7:30pm (candidate's choice)
Work Location: Rosecrance Walnut – Champaign, IL
