Position Summary

In this role, you will facilitate the process of planning coordinating, directing and evaluating the actives of all nursing personnel engaged in client care for all facilities to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality nursing care. Provide and monitor continuity of nursing program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addiction treatment services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse in Illinois
  • Extensive experience in addictions or psychiatric nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proven staff supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Demonstrated experience with the adolescent population
  • Hold and maintain a current CPR certification
  • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, staff or community
  • Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Ability to accurate complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Responsibilities

1. Work hours prescribed by leadership and be available to work additional hours when necessary, including 24 hour on-call requirements.

2. Maintain high standard of nursing care and safety practices for clients and employees.

3. Supervise residential nurse managers at designated affiliates including overseeing orientation, training, conducting regular supervisory meetings, providing feedback, facilitating scheduled evaluations, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

4. Assist leadership in overseeing all aspects of residential nursing functions including : nursing activities for clients, admission, treatment planning, and ongoing case management during treatment stay and discharge planning.

5. Assist in implementing practice standards consistently across all Rosecrance affiliates.

6. Ensure nursing team’s documentation in the client service records are maintained consistent with DHS, TJC and Medicaid regulations.

7. Work with the consulting dieticians and pharmacist regarding organizational needs.

8. Collect, analyze, and report performance improvement data relating to nursing care.

9. Consult with director of nursing, program directors, and administrators to develop policies, goals, objectives and procedures for the nursing department.

10. Continually monitor medical staff retention rates and align practices that will set industry standard.

11. Maintain knowledge of current infection control techniques.

12. Serve as a health consultant and resource person to clients, parents, non-medical personnel and participate in health education of clients, either directly or through supervision.

13. Supervise or participate in administering medications as appropriate.

14. Educate staff on procedures for self-administration observation of medication.

15. Assist in development, implementation, and revision of evidence based best practices to ensure up to date nursing practices.

16. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients, and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.

17. Maintain certification in adult and child CPR.

18. Serve as a member of the administrative team and participate in all team meetings and activities.

19. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.

20. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.

21. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.

22. Supervise the nurse managers at the affiliates including orientation, training, regular supervisory meetings and / or feedback, scheduled evaluations and disciplinary interventions as required.

23. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

  • Base Pay : Starting at $91,901.00 year ( pay is based on education, experience, and credentials.
