Position Purpose :

The Recovery Specialist must be eligible to pursue the Certified Recovery Support Specialist credential (CRSS) based on their behavioral health lived experience.

The Recovery Specialist will do the following : Provide recovery-oriented, person centered, and trauma informed services; Serve as an advocate; Provide information and support for individuals in emergency, outpatient and walk-in settings; Participate as a team member in the delivery of treatment services to clients and their families and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations; Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Part Time Schedule :

Saturday & Sunday - 4 : 00pm - 12 : 30am
Monday - 6pm - 10pm

Job Requirements / Qualifications :

High school diploma, GED or higher education

Advocate for individuals using professionalism and non-adversarial approach

Willingness, ability and commitment to serve as a role model for recovery

Valid Illinois driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements

Minimum (RSA)

Computer proficiency required

Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic health record

Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames

Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Qualifications :

Willingness, ability and commitment to serve as a role model for behavioral health recovery

Essential Responsibilities :

Provide appropriate behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals with mental health disorders.

Have a thorough understanding of community resources and Rosecrance full array of services.

Attend trainings toward CRSS credential

Participate in statewide events / summits / trainings / activities that support the education and development of consumer provider services.

Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, team meetings or appropriate committee meetings as designated.

Serve as a member of the assigned team and participate in all team meetings and activities.

Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional code of conduct and within the framework of the law.

We are seeking a recovery specialist to work with our collaborative healthcare team to provide mental health treatment services. This position is located at our Mulberry location working with adults in our crisis residential program. The ideal candidate has a passion for this population and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Recovery Specialist assists adult clients in gaining skills and managing their mental health through facilitating scheduled groups, providing education, and offering supportive interactions.

Pay : Based on education, experience, and credentials

Compensation & Rewards

Starting Pay ( based on education, experience, and credentials )

HS / GED - $18.43 per hour

Associate’s - $19.37 per hour

Bachelor’s - $20.25 per hour

Shift differentials : Additional pay based on regularly scheduled shift hours

Second shift (majority of hours between 3pm and 11pm) : $.25 / hr

Third shift (majority of hours between 11pm and 7am) : $.50 / hr

Work Location : Rosecrance Mulberry Center – Rockford, IL
