Position Summary
In this role, you will assess and establish the appropriate level of transitional care for clients entering Rosecrance services after a crisis. This role involves managing caseloads within Crisis Stabilization to ensure that clients receive the recommended care. The position requires close collaboration with the crisis supervisor and other stakeholders to identify client needs and active coordination with other programs to ensure effective linkages to ongoing care.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or other related field, or equivalent experience and training
- Must qualify at a minimum as a QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
- Demonstrated experience overseeing a team of behavioral health professionals, experience in crisis response preferred
- Skilled in conducting individual, family counseling, case management and motivational interviews
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with clients in crisis
- The ability to supervise, communicate clearly verbally, write concisely and legibly
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet insurance requirements
- Ability to transport clients as needed

Responsibilities
- Work scheduled hours and any additional hours deemed necessary by leadership. Some variation in scheduled hours may be required to meet company needs.
- Participate in the on-call system as required.
- Provide crisis stabilization services to meet the needs of the clients in community settings to best serve those clients.
- Provide client consultation services to the crisis response team.
- Counsel and assess clients, and provide guidance on their needs.
- Edit and summarize documentation, and influence outcomes based on assessments.
- Measure progress, observe behaviors, organize tasks, plan priorities, and consistently exercise good judgement.
- Review and approve all required crisis documentation, including safety plans, IMCANS, and IMCATS.
- Ensure compliance needs are met for the crisis stabilization team.
- Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, staff, and community groups as needed
- Use available data to monitor effective team behavior in compliance with standards.
- Provide staff feedback on performance via team meetings, monthly supervision, and annual reviews. Provide more frequent individual feedback when needed.
- Participate as part of the leadership team providing support to the team and other departmental staff.
- Complete all necessary monthly and quarterly reports by the appropriate timelines
- Complete all clinical documentation based on all appropriate regulatory requirements and Rosecrance policy.
- Utilize variety of treatment concepts, evidence-based practices and service modalities when providing care.
- Demonstrate an ability to identify an individual in crisis, reduce the impact of the crisis on the individual and their supports and determine appropriate disposition
- Provide leadership by demonstrating self-motivation, seeking improved performance, and problem solving while meeting the needs of the staff and clients.
- Serve as a member of the team, and participate in all team meetings, duties and activities as assigned.
- Exhibits actions and makes decisions that align with the Rosecrance Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law.
- Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills that incorporate the 5 tenets of the Rosecrance Way into daily practices and interactions with all stakeholders.

- Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Schedule
- Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
- Shift: 1st shift
Compensation & Rewards
- Base Pay:
- Starting at $55,161/year (pay is based on education, experience, and credentials)
- Incentives:
- 10% bonus based on meeting position metrics
