What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker (DCW) position at Rosedale/Glendale Community Homes?
C/3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am
This is semi-skilled level work in the care and supervision of consumers at a state mental health facility. Employees assist clients in all areas of physical care and assume total responsibility for the hygiene of consumers who are unable to independently perform such tasks. Other duties include general housekeeping assignments participating in social and recreational activities of the clients, and writing nontechnical reports on consumer behavior and activity.
Examples of work:
Direct and participate in fun recreational activities with clients.
Accompany clients to activities outside of the facility such as the movies and out to eat.
Cook, clean and perform other housekeeping duties.
Help clients with daily personal task.
Some overtime may be required.
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
