What You'll Do
Classroom Support
- Collaborate with Lead Teachers in organizing daily activities and setting up learning spaces
- Support developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with children’s interests and needs
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with documenting student development, behavior, and learning progress
- Help manage student records and daily updates using Procare
Student Engagement
- Interact with children through fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate activities
- Offer personalized support through one-on-one and small group instruction
- Build strong, trusting relationships that nurture emotional and social growth
- Guide students in respecting one another and contributing positively to their school environment
Behavior Management
- Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behavior practices
- Help manage student conflicts with calm, constructive conflict resolution strategies
- Communicate student needs and behaviors with Lead Teachers and families
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating kindness, patience, and problem-solving skills
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure safety and supervision during classroom activities and outdoor play
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom space
- Follow state licensing regulations and school procedures at all times
- Be (or become) certified in CPR and First Aid
Team & Family Communication
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver cohesive, engaging educational experiences
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and caregivers
- Use age-appropriate language to support student understanding and development
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Share ideas, resources, and solutions in a team-oriented work environment
What You Bring
- High school diploma required; Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting
- Understanding of child development principles and educational best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a sincere love for working with preschool-aged children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
