Position Summary:
Adjunct faculty within the College of Pharmacy are contracted to teach in the didactic curriculum. Subject matter will be assigned based on the applicant’s area(s) of expertise.
Essential Functions:
- Participate in the creation of the block plan (course syllabus) or serve as the Block Coordinator.
- Prepare course materials including lecture materials, active learning, assessment, reassessment, and summer assessment questions.
- Attend trainings, meetings, and feedback sessions as scheduled by the Office of Academic Affairs and Assessment and/or Human Resources Office.
- Follow and employ Roseman’s Six-Point Mastery Learning Model of teaching.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree with at least 1 year of experience in the subject matter being taught (3-5 years of experience preferred).
