Position Summary:
The Admissions Representative organizes and processes admissions and student records functions within the College of Medicine Admissions unit. This role supports the Director of Admissions by coordinating aspects of the admissions process, such as applicant interviews, communication plans, and matriculating students into the College of Medicine. Additionally, the role includes administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Representative will advise prospective students about admissions requirements and provide information regarding the Roseman University College of Medicine (RUCOM). The ideal candidate is passionate about higher education and aligns with RUCOM's mission, vision, and values.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure compliance with all LCME and RUCOM standards regarding admissions and enrollment.
- Process and verify admissions paperwork and records from various sources, including postal mail, e-transcript services, standardized testing agencies, and more.
- Schedule and coordinate admissions meetings, interviews, and events.
- Assist in the planning and execution of admissions-related events, including 2nd visit days, information sessions, and campus tours.
- Process student transcripts, including data entry and transfer credit evaluations.
- Perform general office administrative and secretarial tasks.
- Represent RUCOM at recruitment events when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective students and their families via phone, email, and campus tours.
- Provide administrative support to the admissions team as required.
- Maintain an inventory of admission recruitment materials, stationery, and office supplies.
- Perform other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning tasks that are logically related to the position.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience
- Any combination of education, experience and training.
