Position Summary:
Step into a leadership role that shapes the future of pharmacy education! As the Assistant/Associate Dean of the South Jordan Campus, you'll oversee all College of Pharmacy (COP) activity on campus, driving innovation and excellence in pharmacy education. This is your opportunity to provide visionary leadership, guiding strategic direction while fostering the growth and success of faculty, staff, and students.
In this dynamic position, you’ll play a key role on the Dean’s Executive Committee, leading faculty and staff development initiatives that empower educators and elevate learning. Beyond leadership, you’ll engage in teaching, service, and scholarship, making a meaningful impact on the academic community.

Essential Functions:
- Faculty Leadership & Development – Oversee faculty recruitment, professional growth, and performance evaluations.
- College Operations & Problem-Solving – Identify and address concerns within the college, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
- Accreditation & Compliance – Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and university policies while recommending necessary updates.
- Advocacy & Representation – Act as a key liaison between the College of Pharmacy and internal/external stakeholders, including professional organizations.
- Policy & Committee Engagement – Participate in the College of Pharmacy’s Executive Committee and oversee institutional policies and procedures.
- Campus Presence & Commitment – Maintain an on-campus presence (40 hours per week) and fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, EdD, or other terminal degree).
- Associate or full professor preferred.
- Demonstrates understanding and experience working with diverse populations.
- Excellent team building skills.
- Exceptional ability to develop and maintain relationships within and outside of the college and University to strengthen collegiality, professional networks, community partnerships, and student learning.
