Position Summary:
Essential Functions:
- Teach clinical orthodontics and didactic classes, supervises residents in the clinic, and oversees the progression and outcomes of orthodontic cases in accordance with American Board of Orthodontics standards.
- Engage in professional development, conducts and mentors research, seeks external funding opportunities, and ensures clinic compliance with quality assurance, HIPAA, and OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with residents, interns, staff, and faculty to provide optimal patient care, works with the AEODO Program Director to manage clinic operations, and participates in institutional committees and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school or equivalent.
- Must be eligible for licensure in Nevada at the time of application and receive licensure within 3 months of hire.
- Completion of a CODA-approved, post-doctoral residency in orthodontics, along with teaching experience at the postdoctoral level, a strong record of scholarly activity.
