Position Summary:
The Director of Student Affairs plays a vital role in enhancing the student experience and fostering a supportive, engaging campus environment. As a key leader in the College of Dental Medicine (CODM), you will oversee and execute student affairs programs across both the Utah and Nevada campuses, ensuring seamless operations and meaningful student engagement. Working closely with the Associate Dean of Enrollment & Student Success, you’ll lead strategic planning, supervision, and evaluation of student life initiatives, leadership programs, and academic support services. Your impact will shape student success, professional development, and campus culture. Essential Functions:
- Oversee student life activities, student organizations, and leadership programs across the Utah and Nevada campuses.
- Advise Class Officers, the Dental Student Association (DSA), and other student leadership committees.
- Organize and oversee key student events, including Town Halls, alumni reunions, orientations, and ceremonies.
- Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment & Student Success on major CODM events such as White Coat, Career Fairs, and Hooding Ceremonies.
- Provide student advising on career development and address non-academic professionalism issues.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree is required. Doctoral degree is preferred (PhD, DMD, EdD).
- Demonstrated understanding and experience working with diverse populations.
- Proven ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
