Position Summary:
The Coordinator, Philanthropy & Alumni Relations plays a vital role in supporting fundraising events, community engagement initiatives, and alumni relations activities at Roseman University. This position assists in coordinating donor and alumni events, engaging with community partners, and supporting general fundraising efforts to strengthen the university’s philanthropic impact.
Working closely with the Senior Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Relations, the Coordinator will provide event logistics support, assist with donor and alumni outreach, and help implement engagement initiatives that foster meaningful relationships with key stakeholders. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to ensure the success of fundraising campaigns, alumni programming, and community partnerships.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in planning, executing, and providing logistical support for fundraising and alumni events, including donor receptions, networking events, and stewardship programs.
- Coordinate event communications, invitations, and RSVP tracking to ensure high levels of attendance and engagement.
- Work with vendors, venue staff, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of engagement events.
- Assist with event check-in, donor engagement efforts, and post-event stewardship to maintain relationships.
- Support alumni participation in Chamber of Commerce events and other community networking opportunities.
- Assist in building relationships with alumni and community partners to increase engagement opportunities.
- Support university representation at Chamber of Commerce events, business networking functions, and alumni gatherings.
- Help develop initiatives to connect alumni with students through mentorship, career panels, and networking programs.
- Work closely with the Associate Director, Alumni Relations & Community Engagement to ensure alumni and donor engagement efforts align with university fundraising priorities.
- Provide administrative support for fundraising appeals, alumni giving programs, and donor engagement efforts.
- Assist in executing alumni giving campaigns, donor recognition efforts, and scholarship fundraising initiatives.
- Support stewardship initiatives by coordinating thank-you communications, event follow-ups, and donor engagement tracking.
- Collaborate with the Data Analyst I to ensure donor participation and event data is accurately recorded in Raiser’s Edge.
- Track engagement touchpoints and ensure donor recognition efforts are timely and effective.
- Assist in developing engagement programs that connect alumni with current students, including mentorship programs, career networking, and internship opportunities.
- Work with student services and academic departments to integrate alumni participation into student programming.
- Provide logistical support for alumni panels, student-alumni networking receptions, and industry-focused engagement events.
- Assist in managing donor and alumni communications, including social media content, event invitations, and stewardship emails.
- Prepare materials for fundraising appeals, alumni engagement campaigns, and event-related communications.
- Coordinate volunteer and student ambassador involvement in alumni and donor engagement activities.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Windows environment and standard Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for advancement-related activities.
