Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, administers federal financial aid programs for assigned cohort(s) of students; assists with the coordination of the activities and day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid Office on the South Jordan campus; provide direct support and processing of all financial aid to current and prospective students in the College of Dental Medicine (CODM), South Jordan campus and incoming students in the College of Medicine, Summerlin Nevada campus (first 2 years of program only).

Present financial aid information for CODM at all admissions interview days, new student orientation sessions, and exit counseling sessions.  Provide clear, accurate details about funding options, application processes, and repayment responsibilities. Respond to questions, address concerns, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth event integration.

Provide personalized support and counseling on student loan repayment options, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of available federal repayment plans. Tailor guidance to meet each student's unique financial situation and needs. 

Essential Functions:

• Advise, counsel and inform CODM students about available financial aid opportunities, eligibility requirements, application processes, and financial literacy in person, over the telephone and through email.
• Conduct presentations for students during Admissions interview day, new student orientation, exit counseling, and miscellaneous financial literacy days.
• Create the master annual cost of attendance/budgets for all programs at the University.
• Review, determine and approve all COA increases from students.
• Assist with annual audit; coordinate all South Jordan campus files and activities related to audit and ensure accuracy of files in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least four years of progressively responsible professional experience in a financial aid setting.
• Experience delivering presentations on financial aid, financial planning, or general financial literacy topics to prospective and current students/clients is preferred.
• Familiarity with Anthology Student or similar financial aid management system is preferred.
• Experience with non-term based financial aid processing is preferred.
