Position Summary:
The Vice President for Student Affairs is an executive position responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of student life and support services within Roseman University of Health Sciences. This includes areas such as student engagement, student conduct, student organizations, student accommodations, financial aid services, and more. The Vice President for Student Affairs works closely with students, faculty, and staff to create a positive and inclusive campus environment that promotes student success and well-being. They also collaborate with other university units to develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives that enhance the overall student experience. Additionally, the Vice President for Student Affairs plays a key role in crisis management and ensuring the safety and security of students on campus. This role also has direct oversight of Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Recruitment & Engagement, and Student Affairs offices. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews ADA requests from students and facilitates the interactive process with the academic programs.
- Oversees the proctors for ADA students for assessments, reassessments, and remediation assessments, and arranges for a back-up proctors when necessary.
- Oversight of and Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for SEVIS (Student Exchange Visitor Information System).
- Oversight of student mental health policies and procedures.
- Oversight of new Roseman student organization approval process.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to update and implement student organization policies.
- Responsible for inviting students to nominate themselves to run for Student Government Association (SGA) officer positions and student membership on the University Student Professionalism Board (USPB) at each campus.
- Oversight of Roseman’s University Student Professionalism Board to ensure compliance with policies and processes.
- Collaborates and assists with Roseman University’s response to Borrower to Defense (BDR) complaints.
- Oversight and coordination of student scholarship processes.
- Oversight, in collaboration with campus Chancellors, for University Commencements
- Collaborates with VP for Communications and Partnerships to update the University Catalog.
- Assists in the Nevada Commission on Post-Secondary Education (NCPSE) License Renewal.
- Oversight of Title IX policy and University Title IX Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Masters’ degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Completion of a Ph.D. or similar terminal degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven years prior senior administrative student affairs experience at a college or university.
