Job Summary
The Site Supervisor at our Bakersfield, CA location is responsible for overseeing all departments and operations at that location. The departments at this location include production, processing, sales/delivery, and general administration. The Site Supervisor will need to have working knowledge of each of the jobs and responsibilities in each department. The Site Supervisor will coordinate all work and projects with the Corporate Office located in South Dakota, with our California distribution offices, and with the employees based in and at the Bakersfield, CA office. The Site Supervisor’s duties focus on ensuring all work at the Bakersfield, CA office is completed in a high quality, timely, and efficient manner. The Site Supervisor should expect to do hands-on work at various times in each department. All employees are expected to follow all company policies, procedures, and rules.
Responsibilities
Learn and perform all job tasks, duties, and responsibilities performed in each department as needed
Set daily and periodic tasks and assignments for all personnel at Bakersfield location
Monitor all assigned tasks and assignments for completion, accuracy, errors, and efficiencies
Follow all company policies, including bio-security, chicken handling and animal husbandry, and work/food safety procedures
Communicate regularly with Corporate Office and California distribution offices staff to coordinate system-wide goals, needs, projects, and operations
Implement and monitor operational, procedural, and safety programs
Record keeping and formal documentation preparation and submittal for internal, governmental, and other regulatory purposes
Coordinating work and other business with outside contractors and agents for business needs at the location
Driving for work purposes, including sales and delivery
All other duties as assigned

The employee may perform any or many of the functions above for long, extended periods of times and for successive and extended work days. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds and occasionally 75 pounds or more. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, including for driving purposes. The employee shall be free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance while on duty. In addition, the employee shall be free of any substance, prescribed or otherwise, that impairs the employee’s work performance or the safety of others while on duty.
