JOB TITLE: Housekeeper
REPORTS TO: Administrator
FLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptJOB
OVERVIEW: Responsible for cleaning cart and keeping it suitably stocked. Cleaning all units, bathrooms, and rooms assigned are clean. Clean assigned post discharge rooms. make sure that equipment is clean after use, attend the in-services that he/she is required to attend, be dependable, and be able to do the job to the best of his/her ability
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1 Assemble all necessary equipment and supplies on the housekeeping cart. Keep housekeeping cart clean and neat at all times.
2 Clean all rooms in the assigned area daily. Clean physician rooms on both floors.
3 Vacuum all carpet on a daily basis.
4 Empty all trash containers daily.
5 Using germicidal detergent, wipe over bed table, and back, desk tables, cabinets on wall being sure to dust on top of tables and sides. Dust lamps with dry cloth.
6 Spot clean walls and doors, light fixtures, windows sills and curtains.
7 Clean mirrors, sinks, faucet showers, toilet, seat lid and base.
8 Replace toilet tissue, paper towels and soap.
9 Mop bathroom floors.
10 Change mop water every three rooms.
11 Strip bed of all soiled linens, wash mattress on both sides.
12 Inspect all work when finished for quality.
13 Keep clean and soiled utility rooms clean at all times.
14 Never leave cart unattended or open when not in use.
15 Carry all chemicals in small caddy to room when cleaning.
16 Never use a chemical that is not labeled.
17 Always pour liquids away from label.
18 Keep caps on containers after using.
19 Personal cleanliness and hand washing are particularly important.
20 All other duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and Experience: Minimum of one year experience required. Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and skills in cleaning.
