Description
Day camp assistant counselors are seasonal employees who work for 7 weeks in the summer, Monday - Friday from 8:30am-3:00pm. Assistant counselors will under the guidance of head counselors and aid in overseeing a group of kids each day of camp and have the following responsibilities:
- Help and be active with all phases of day camp group activities, such as swimming, arts & crafts, field games, fitness & fun, etc.
- Takes charge of a split group as designated by the Head Counselor
- To interact with and be supportive of campers and staff
- Assist Head Counselor chaperoning field trips
- Assist Head Counselor to protect children’s safety and welfare
- Assist Head Counselor to uphold discipline and policies of Rosemont Park District
Qualifications
- Must be 15 years of age
- Under 16 years of age requires a work permit to be obtained from school
- First Aid/CPR certified
