Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly
Description
Day camp head counselors are seasonal employees who work for 7 weeks in the summer, Monday - Friday from 8:30am-3:00pm. Head counselors will lead a group of kids each day of camp and have the following responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead campers with their scheduled activities
- Organize and plan unscheduled time periods
- Chaperones field trips and special events
- To be creative, imaginative, interactive and supportive of campers and staff
- Responsible for the children’s safety and welfare
- Responsible for assistant counselors and helpers
- Enforces discipline and upholds policies of the Rosemont Park District
- Maintains open communications with parents
- Maintains communications with camp director and other staff
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Available to work Monday thru Friday during the 7-week span during the summer
