What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Set Assistant Manager position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts?
Summary:
The Banquet Set-Up Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising staff in the setup and breakdown of rooms, chairs & tables, equipment, inventory of supplies utilized, and the upkeep of the convention meeting rooms. In addition, they will ensure that all tasks are completed promptly to the hotel and guest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with supervising the overall operations of the department and staff.
- Supervises and assists with the set-up, breakdown, and service of all conference meeting rooms.
- Keeps up with the day-to-day workflow.
- Ensures safety guidelines are met by staff.
- Attends BEO meetings in the absence of the manager or director for current and upcoming events and group information.
- Assist with managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with establishing consistent standards for regular meeting room sets.
- Works with management and set-up teams to ensure high-quality and cleanliness standards of all meeting rooms and pre-function spaces.
- Develops checklists and cleaning schedules to ensure proper cleanliness and maintenance of the meeting space is met.
- Assist with the interviewing, training, supervision, counseling, scheduling, and evaluation of the setup team.
- Assist with staff scheduling to ensure proper convention needs are met. Completes all other duties as assigned by management.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 2 years of previous management experience required.
- 1 years of banquet set-up required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
