Summary:
Convention Services Setup Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the entire process of setting up rooms and event spaces for conventions, meetings, and banquets within a venue. They are responsible for ensuring all layouts, equipment, and details are precisely arranged according to event specifications while managing a team of set-up staff to deliver a seamless and professional experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assign staff their work duties.
- Identifying guests' needs and providing anticipatory service.
- Supervise associates.
- Inventory for accounting and ordering purposes.
- Daily communication regarding management needs.
- Open meeting space for the day's activities.
- Check areas for safety guidelines.
- Inform management of all work done for the day and the next day, and pass information for the next day.
- Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies and managing daily operations.
- Detailing and cleaning services.
- General cleaning of the pool area.
- Checking safety hazards.
- Do major assignments.
- Assist with setup when needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 1 years of Convention Services Setup experience.
- Ability to lift- up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
