What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts?
Summary:
The Director of Finance will lead and oversee our financial operations and manage various financial functions while playing a critical role in ensuring financial stability, compliance, and efficiency while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Lead and mentor the finance teams, including general cashier, labor analyst, accounts receivable/payable, financial controller, payroll, revenue audit, procurement, cost control, and central warehouse.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for each function to drive accountability and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaboration across finance departments.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, vendor payments, and revenue audits.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and procurement strategies to optimize expenses while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management and central warehouse operations to ensure proper stock levels with cost control.
- Partner with department heads to analyze and manage labor costs effectively.
- Monitor revenue streams, audit financial transactions, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3 years of Hospitality related experience and/or training.
- 3 years of Hospitality related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
- CHAE designation (preferred).
