What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Security position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts?
Summary:
The Security Director at Rosen Hotels & Resorts organizes and oversees the hotel's security force, managing individual officers, schedules, and patrol routes They ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and company assets by following Company Standards and maintaining a drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the security operations of the hotel.
- Investigate all criminal and safety incidents.
- Complete accurate and concise reports of the investigation and findings.
- Develop and recommend the annual budget, annual security plans, and objectives for the hotel, and manage within those approved plans.
- Supervising the daily tours and operations of proprietary Security Officers, managing, and directing the operations of augmenting security personnel engaged for special events on the premises.
- Drafting and implementing security directives, policies, and procedures for the property, coordinating the implementation of security standards and operating procedures for the property
- Manage the hotel's MOD program.
- Organizing and managing special projects, events, and VIP visits at the property.
- Coaching and counseling security employees to reflect Rosen Hotels and Resorts service standards and procedures.
- Conducting Security and Safety training for Security staff and Security and Safety Awareness training for employees at the property.
- Maintain a good working relationship by developing a solid liaison program with all federal, state, and county law enforcement agencies.
- Approves the implementation, dissemination, and training of all security department policies and procedures.
- Oversees the issuing, usage, and ordering of all first aid supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
- 2 years of security experience required
- 3 years of management experience required
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
