Summary:
The Front Service Captain is responsible for overseeing the entire bell staff at a hotel, ensuring guests receive prompt and efficient luggage handling, transportation assistance, and overall excellent customer service by managing the team, assigning tasks, and coordinating guest requests while maintaining high standards of service and appearance within the bell desk operation.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the daily operations of the bell staff, including assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and ensuring all bell attendants are performing their duties effectively.
- Greet guests upon arrival, assist with luggage handling, escort them to their rooms, and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Arrange transportation for guests, including taxis, shuttle services, and car rentals
- Receiving and addressing guest requests promptly, whether it's delivering messages, providing directions, or handling special needs.
- Monitor the quality of service provided by bell staff, ensuring consistent standards and addressing any customer concerns.
- Coaching and training new bell staff on proper procedures, guest service etiquette, and company policies.
- Collaborating with the front desk, concierge, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experience.
- Ensuring the bell desk area is clean and organized, and that bell staff adheres to proper uniform standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 1 years of bell service experience required
- 1 years of supervisory/management experience required
- Ability to lift heavy luggage 25 to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
