What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Copywriter position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts?
Summary:
The Junior Copywriter will create compelling and high-quality copy for a variety of platforms, including blog posts, emails, sales materials, and website content for all Rosen Hotels & Resorts properties and subsidiary companies. This role collaborates closely with the sales and marketing team to develop content that enhances brand visibility, drives website traffic, and ultimately increases bookings.
Responsibilities:
Write and maintain website copy, marketing collateral, and blogs, ensuring consistency with brand styles and quality standards.- Conduct website reviews and update content with approved third-party sources, such as TripAdvisor reviews and theme park news.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, sales departments, and creative team members to develop effective messaging for marketing campaigns targeting specific audiences and events.
- Assist the Creative Team manager and Web Developer in identifying SEO strategies relevant to target audiences, maintaining and enriching the SEO library for all hotel properties and company branches.
- Monitor and report on SEO performance and efficacy.
- Gather and report information on relevant products from external teams, agencies, and theme park marketing teams to internal departments.
- Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy and alignment with brand voice and style.
- Attend web sales meetings and other relevant sales and marketing meetings as needed.
- Maintain and update the Creative Team writing style guide according to AP Stylebook rules and Rosen Hotels & Resorts' preferred writing styles.
- Enhance Rosen Hotels & Resorts' brand voice through consistent, high-quality writing.
- Participate in four approved webinars annually on topics such as SEO development, writing techniques, hospitality trends, and digital and print marketing.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an understanding of AP Stylebook guidelines.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital marketing trends.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and creative departments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and marketing practices is a plus.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in SEO, digital marketing, or copywriting are beneficial.
