POSITION SUMMARY
The Customer Service & Parts Data Intern will support a technical data organization and library development project to ensure all Rosenbauer apparatus, past and present, have accessible technical documentation. Throughout this project, the Intern will be exposed to a broad range of cross-functional processes and departments to gather the needed information and learn about the automotive and fire industries. The project involves auditing, organizing, and migrating critical technical documents into a structured SharePoint library that will be used by both the Customer Service and Aftermarket Parts teams, and will have a lasting impact on the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Identify, assess, and catalog technical documents stored across network drives, desktops, and physical file locations.
- Ensure that legacy documentation for older Rosenbauer apparatus is preserved and digitized.
- Create a structured library layout to support all Rosenbauer products by type and year of manufacture.
- Implement a file-naming convention and metadata tagging system to ensure consistency and searchability.
- Move digital documents to designated locations and digitize physical manuals for older apparatus.
- Ensure version control practices are implemented to prevent data loss and accidental overwrites.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Aftermarket Parts, and Engineering SMEs to validate legacy document accuracy.
- Coordinate with CRM teams to align the library with potential future digital solutions.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions on the new library.
- Provide documentation for a long-term maintenance plan, ensuring the system remains updated.
- Provide a final report summarizing work completed, best practices, and sustainability recommendations.
- Establish a quarterly review process to ensure ongoing document updates.
