POSITION SUMMARY
The Manifold Prep/tester will prepare the manifold to be welded and then tested to ensure it does not leak. This position will grind, clean, and paint the manifold to ensure the highest quality product is installed on to the fire truck.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
- Prepares plumbing manifold for welding by attaching flange, covering holes, and securing plumbing cap.
- Perform a pressure test on the manifold by hooking up to compressed air and checking for leaks.
- Prepares manifold of installation by grinding off imperfections from welding.
- Cleans manifold and spray paints when necessary to ensure the highest quality.
- Helps Manifold Welder and Builder to create maximum efficiency.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
