YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY :

The Civil and Mechanical Area Superintendent is responsible for overseeing subcontractors' supervision effort to ensure appropriate personnel, budgets and schedules are met. Need to be able to manage multiple sites and superintendent and will report to mechanical / civil General superintendent.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

Plan and supervise, Superintendents, General Foreman, and Foreman on craft activities, including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment quantities, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.

Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, subcontractors, or other contractors.

Maintain liaison with subcontractors, engineering, estimating, and Project Management to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.

Responsible for creating and auditing budgets and install rates, process, and procedures

Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.

Maintain communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required manpower, etc., as necessary.

Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; SWIs process and procedures, document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.

Maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.

Lead in the implementation of all field training programs.

Closely monitor company QA / QC programs.

Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :

Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups essential.

Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position

Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WHAT YOU BRING TO US :

Minimum of 8 years' supervisory experience in construction of large-scale Solar Farms, Substations, Solar racking systems, foundations, Civil scopes (Grading, Cut / fill, Slopes, Topo, etc.) Support Buildings and General Construction as an EPC

Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment,methods)

Knowledge and understanding of company policies, procedures, and standards; and union jurisdiction, labor agreements, negotiations essential

Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

TRAVEL : Up to 100 %

WORKING CONDITIONS :

General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
