Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for patients, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Review documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Process patient billing and insurance claims accurately.
- Maintain office organization through effective file management.
- Assist with general office management tasks as needed.
- Utilize computerized systems for scheduling, billing, and patient records.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical or Dental Receptionist is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with office management practices in a dental or medical setting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements, will train
- Proficient in using computerized systems for documentation and billing processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation review and billing processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- High School degree
