Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our automotive repair and maintenance team. The Automotive Foreman will be responsible for supervising technicians, ensuring quality repairs, managing workflow, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role is vital to keeping our service operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of automotive technicians, ensuring productivity, quality, and timely completion of repairs.
- Assign and schedule repair and maintenance tasks based on technician skill level and customer priority.
- Perform diagnostics and provide technical assistance to technicians as needed.
- Monitor quality control and inspect completed work to ensure all repairs meet company and industry standards.
- Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding repair progress, costs, and estimated completion times.
- Order and manage parts inventory, ensuring availability for scheduled repairs.
- Enforce safety standards, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
- Experience with automotive repair software and systems.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
