Job Description
The Accounting Manager Consultant is responsible for supervising the accounting team, implementing processes, managing month/year-end close process, and ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately.

The Accounting Manager Consultant is responsible for supervising the accounting team, implementing processes, managing month/year-end close process, and ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the accounting team and provide training and mentoring
- Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and the use of resources
- Ensure all deadlines are met
- Prepare and Review Journal Entries
- Prepare and Review Account Reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger system
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Assist in annual audit process and respond to audit questions as needed
- Provide recommendations to Controller as needed
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Utilize best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in delivery of client services
- Meet financial accounting objectives
Required skills and experience:
- 8 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
- 3 Industry experience in manufacturing, biotech, medical devices and fintech highly desired
- BS Degree in accounting, finance or work experience equivalent
- 5 years prior supervisory experience in a large private or public company
- Proficiency in accounting software for example NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, JDE, Great Plains, etc
- MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, and Macros
Salary : $65 - $80
