Financial Analyst Consultant

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Consultant to join our team in Orange County, California. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving the organization’s financial health by providing insightful analysis, budgeting expertise, and strategic planning support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
• Analyze financial performance against forecasts and budgets, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure alignment of financial plans with business objectives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends, identifying opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities, investments, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or related roles.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex data to non-financial audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
• Experience in the Orange County market or related industries is advantageous.
