Position Overview :
We seek a skilled and proactive EDI Specialist with 3 years of hands-on experience to join our team. This senior-level role focuses on managing and expanding Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes using OpenText on an IBM i system with a Windows-based mapping platform. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless data integration between trading partners and internal systems while actively driving the adoption of additional transaction types to improve supply chain efficiency and operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- EDI Operations and Maintenance
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot EDI processes on the OpenText platform on the IBM i system.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of EDI transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping notices.
- Manage and maintain communication protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN).
- Mapping and Transformation
- Create, modify, and test EDI maps using the Windows-based mapping tool.
- Translate business requirements into EDI mapping specifications for various document types and standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT).
- Trading Partner Management
- Set up and onboard new trading partners, including configuration, testing, and implementation of EDI connections.
- Act as the primary point of contact for trading partner inquiries related to EDI transactions.
- Process Improvement and Expansion
- Drive the adoption of additional EDI transaction types to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement EDI workflow and process improvements.
- Provide recommendations to enhance EDI integration with supply chain systems and operations.
- Troubleshooting and Support
- Investigate and resolve EDI transaction issues, communication errors, and data discrepancies.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external trading partners.
- Documentation and Collaboration
- Maintain detailed documentation for EDI processes, mapping specifications, and workflows.
- Work closely with IT, supply chain, logistics, and other business units to align EDI processes with organizational objectives.
