Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a hospice setting, ensuring comfort and dignity during their end-of-life journey. As a Hospice Aide, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients and assisting their families during this sensitive time.

Must have CNA Certification and have hospice experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs to ensure patient health and comfort.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Provide catheter care and support with other medical needs as required.
• Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
• Offer emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a comforting environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a clean and safe home environment for patients receiving care at home or in community settings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospice care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Ability to perform patient observation with attention to detail regarding changes in condition or behavior.
• Familiarity with meal preparation and dietary restrictions is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards patients and families.
• A valid certification or training in home community care is desirable but not required.
