Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing food as assigned by the Director of Dining Services / Cook, using daily menus, and participate in special events.
- Store food properly for infection control.
- Participate in serving food.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils according to VA Health Standards
- Bus tables during and after meals.
- Clean and sanitize equipment.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment with a focus on the dish area, floors in kitchen and other areas as directed and as per cleaning schedule.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor.
