What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Assistant / Caregiver | Day Shift | Belden Assisted Living position at Rosewood?
- Rate of pay is based on experience
- Must have current RN License
- Experience in Specialty Care Assisted Living preferred
- Familiar with gerontology and an overall view of health care delivery, including assisted living regulations
- Hires, trains, supervises LPNs, ensuring their ability to provide the correct care within their scope of practice
- Works with the Medical Director and Nurse Practitioner in regard to issues pertaining to the residents
- Regular assessments of residents & prospective resident assessments
- Assists in the coordination of efficient, smooth move-in and move-out of Residents including performing assessments, setting up files, orientation of Residents, and setting up medications.
- Assists in the management of the resident medication program including adherence to physician orders, ordering of new medications/medication changes, ensuring quality of medication assistance to residents, and management of the pharmacy provider relationship
- Coordinate service provided to residents
- Prepares, monitors, and administers medication
- Monitors and supervises daily personal hygiene of residents; reports any changes in residents’ physical conditions to family and physician as appropriate
- Timely communication with resident families when there is a significant change in the health of a resident
- Works with kitchen staff to coordinate health care and food service needs
- Complete & accurate record keeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted and 125 pounds per person in a two-person lift.
- Valid driver’s license
